27.A.3b Compare and contrast how the arts function in ceremony, technology, politics, communication and entertainment.
Time: 5- 40 minute class periods
Materials:
8”x12” white sulfite paper
pencils
magazines
glue sticks
Objectives:
3. Students will practice making a self portrait.
4. Students will abstract their self portraits and add a personal message.

- Students will learn how to draw different parts of the face in correct porportion.
- Students will learn how to make abstractions of a face.
- Show power point examples of “Fractured Faces”.
3. Students will practice making a self portrait.
4. Students will abstract their self portraits and add a personal message.
